What happened: Pragmatic Play extended the Privé rules
On 10 August 2026 Pragmatic Play announced on its own official news page that Privé Lounge Blackjack is getting two new features: ‘Face Down Double Down’ and ‘Split After Split’. According to the release, both are exclusive to this game family and build on the double-after-split option introduced last year. The studio’s PR director, Sharon McHugh, is quoted in the announcement.

How the two new rules work
Face Down Double Down. According to the release, you can double down while your last card, dealt after the double, stays face down until the dealer has finished their hand. The decision is the same as a regular double; you just learn the outcome later. It changes the tension more than the maths.
Split After Split. If a hand created by the first split forms a pair again, you can split it once more. Pragmatic Play ties the rise in RTP to 99.51% to this rule.
One key distinction: 99.51% is the studio’s calculation and assumes optimal, basic-strategy play. If you deviate from it, the expected return is lower, and the figure says nothing about the result of a short session.
The release does not mention one practical consequence, but it follows from the rules. Every double and every extra split puts another bet on the table. A round that started as a single bet can tie up two or three bets’ worth of money. If you sit down with a tight budget, factor this in beforehand, because the new options increase precisely the number of more expensive decisions.
What this means if you take a Privé seat
Privé Lounge is Pragmatic Play’s premium series. When we checked on 11 October, the Dukat.bet lobby listed several of these tables: Privé Lounge Blackjack 6–14, Russian Privé Lounge Blackjack 1–2, Turkish Privé Lounge Blackjack 1–3 and Privé Lounge 1–5.
These are live tables, so there is no demo. You can only see the rules after logging in, on the table’s own rules sheet. Look for two things there: whether the two new features are named, and what RTP the table states. If the rules sheet shows no trace of the update, do not count on it.
If you have never sat at a Privé table, first just watch a few rounds to see how doubling and splitting play out. With Face Down Double Down the face-down card can make the end of a round feel slower, but your decision stays the same. Keep a basic strategy chart at hand, because the studio’s 99.51% is only approachable if you choose the recommended move in every situation. One bad split or one skipped double already lowers the expected return. Check the rules sheets of the Russian and Turkish tables separately, as we do not know whether their rules were updated too.
What we don’t know about the Privé tables
- The rules at Dukat.bet’s tables. Without a demo or a login, we cannot verify whether the August rules are already running here. That is why we write that Pragmatic Play announced them, not that they are available on Dukat.bet.
- The betting limits. These may differ by table; the release does not cover them.
- The Russian and Turkish tables. The release is about Privé Lounge Blackjack. It does not say whether the language versions were updated at the same time.
For these reasons we treat the 99.51% and the two new features as Pragmatic Play’s announcement. As soon as we see them on the rules sheet of any Privé table, we will rewrite the article and note when it was changed.

Live bonus and clause 2.14
The offer that fits the live tables is the Live Casino Bonus – 500% up to 3,000 EUR + 15% Cashback. To be fair, we must add: under clause 2.14 of Dukat.bet’s general bonus terms, rounds played with a live dealer do not count towards wagering, and table games count at 0%. So before activating anything, read that particular offer’s own conditions. Our latest check of clause 2.14 is in the bonus terms review.
