The new game as a curiosity trap
With a new release everything is fresh: the visuals, the features, the big maximum multiplier in the announcement. For Thor's Rage 2 it is 20,000x, for Dead Man's Crew 10,000x. These figures are the game's theoretical ceiling, not what an ordinary evening brings.
The trap is that curiosity does not end with the first spin. ‘Just one more look at the bonus round’, ‘once more, maybe this time’ – and ten minutes become an hour. A fresh game is also unfamiliar, which makes it harder to judge how much money it is eating.
Only people over 18 may play at Dukat.bet, and it only makes sense with money you can afford to lose.
Demo first, then a stake
Every title in our six game news items had a demo at the time of our check on 11 October 2026. Make use of it: in the demo you learn for free how the grid works, what triggers the bonus round and how often a win comes at all.

Live tables, such as Privé Lounge blackjack, have no demo. There it matters even more to decide in advance how much you will spend.
A budget and breaks before you start
Set your limits while you are not yet playing. In the middle of a session, after a losing streak, the decision is no longer as clear-headed.
- Money limit: an amount for the evening or the week that you can spend and will not top up.
- Time limit: set an alarm on your phone. When it goes off, get up, even if you happen to be winning.
- Stake limit: decide on your stake size in advance and do not raise it to win back losses.
- Breaks: at least a few minutes between games when you are not looking at the screen.

Bonus buy: risk on fast-forward
Many new slots offer a bonus buy. Johnny vs Chicken, for example, gives you the bonus round for 75x, 150x or 300x your stake. At a base stake of one euro, that is 75, 150 or 300 euros in a single click, squeezing a long run of spins into one decision.
If you play with a bonus, point 2.7 of the rules sets 5 EUR as the maximum permitted stake while wagering. If you measure the buy price against that ceiling, the 75x option works out to a base stake of 5/75 ≈ 0.066 EUR. If the news is what makes you open the lobby
Take an honest look at your own habits. Warning signs include:
- you want to play every new release straight away, not just look at it;
- you stay longer than planned or forget the time you set;
- you want to win back losses the next time;
- you hide from your family how much time or money you spend on gambling;
- you get irritable when you cannot play.
If several of these apply to you, take a longer break and talk to someone about it.
Who you can turn to where you live
Wherever you live, there are places where you can ask for help. Your family doctor will listen and can refer you to a specialist. Addiction outpatient services and psychiatric clinics treat gambling problems too. Self-help groups are another source of support for many people, where others in a similar situation share their experience.
